Private Wheel-throw Lesson with Kaitie

Service Description

Ages 14 and older for wheel throw lessons. Whether you took a community ed class last year or had ceramics in high school forever ago or even if you've never worked with clay before, private pottery lessons are a great way to go. Our instructor will work with you to master the basics of wheel throw from centering, to trimming, to glazing each piece. If you have had some experience we can help you get to the next level. You set the goals and the pace. Schedule as many sessions or as few as you'd like. We will review your progress and goals as we go. Sessions include the following: Tools Clay (up to 6 pounds per session) Glazes Firings Set up Work time Clean up Clay is a messy process and you learn all the proper steps to work well in a community space. Fully independent work will require the purchase of a set of tools and bags of clay. Clay price includes firing as well. After you begin private sessions there may be the option of independent practice time at $10 per hour during our regular business hours. This will be determined by your instructor, stage of learning and space availability. Each case will be determined on its own merits. 24 hour cancelation policy. No refunds or rescheduling will be given if not arranged for prior to the 24 hour period.
