Come and join this fun class creating with clay! We will teach you the steps of pinch, coil, and slab. You get to decide what you create and we help guide you to achieve your goal. The principles of firing will also be covered. Each child will need to be able to work independently, follow instructions and be respectful to the instructor and each other. Patience and a good attitude are a must! This class is designed for home school kids only, NO adults, NO kids under 8. Kids will be dropped off by the start of class and picked up when it is over. NO passive participants. (Pricing for this group is at a discounted rate for homeschooling families only.) Please contact us if you would like to add a child to this class. When registering, the system will only allow you to register for open seats. The class is set for 12 participants. If you have a home school group that has more participants than can fit in this class, please contact the studio to set something up for your group. Attendance at each session is required. There will be no make-up classes. Class schedule Thursdays at 11:00 am - 12:30 pm January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13 Class fee includes all materials, tools and firings. Class Schedule Week 1: Pinch Week 2: Coil Week 3: Slab Week 4: Combine two or more techniques Week 5: Glaze Week 6: Glaze Everyone will receive a pound of clay each of the first 4 weeks to create a project. An instructor will provide step by step instructions on the process. You will decide what you want to create and no previous experience is needed. Week 5 and 6 we will glaze all your creations. Just show up with a great attitude and be ready to have fun. Come with your own ideas or look at our samples. Animals, creatures, aliens, and figures of all types of creations are possible. Class includes all materials and tools needed. Attendance at each session is required. There will be no make-up classes.
