Service Description

Ages 12 and older only. No exceptions, student must be 12 or turning 12 in the month class starts to be eligible. 6 sessions, Thursdays, 5 pm to 7pm February 13, 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20 Join Maggie on Thursday evenings (5-7) for an adventure in wheel thrown pottery! Each week provides expert instruction and time for practice. Register today because space is limited. Attendance at each session is essential. There will be NO make-up sessions. Week One: The basics of centering. How to throw a bowl. Week Two: The basics of centering. How to throw a cylinder. Week Three: Time to practice and refine your pots. Week Four: Finishing your pottery. Bisque/glaze fire included. The process for finishing a wheel thrown pot. Week Five: Finishing your pots. Bisque/glaze fire included. Last chance at the wheel. Week Six: Finishing your pottery. Looking closely at the pots. (Family invited.) Supply List: large towel apron Included: 12 hours of instruction 25 pound bag of clay Glazes and firings Use of basic throwing tools. (Sets can be purchased for $12+ tax) Special Notes: Attendance at each session is essential. There will be NO MAKE-UP sessions.
